One may not agree with Pakistani propaganda in national & international media (including as in https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/india-and-america-colludes-disrupt-china-pakistan-economic-corridor/ ) that the USA and India use the soil and government of Afghanistan to sabotage CPEC & BRI but one thing is quite obvious that the situation in and around Afghanistan is not same as was in 1996 (when Taliban assumed power in Afghanistan) for the simple reason that presently China is in a big way in this region due to its economic interests through CPEC, BRI and other projects hence China will be comfortable with Taliban government in Kabul (which will be much less anti-human rights as promised by Taliban).
Pakistan is already in Chinese camp and Taliban is likely to come to power as is reported in prominent US media that -"In three days, at least five provincial capitals have been seized by the Taliban, in a ruthless land offensive that has led many local officials to abandon their posts and flee the cities they run" as reported at
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/08/world/asia/afghanistan-government-propaganda.html . Hence both Pakistan and Afghanistan under Chinese control along with border countries of Afghanistan (including Iran) under Chinese influence the peace & stability can be expected in the region which will be good for everybody in the region as well as globally hence will be welcomed even by the USA (notwithstanding said conspiracy theory).
But hang-on. This scenario is based on the premise that China will use Afghan Taliban to protect Chinese economic interests (and the interest of the region as a consequence) but what happens if ‘Afghan Taliban converts itself to Global Taliban and starts using China for ‘one military for Muslims (OMM) as explained below:-
(1)- There are 4 major religious groups in this world namely Christians, Muslims, Chinese and Hindus. The 3 major religious groups have one military (Christian West through NATO and Chinese & Hindus due to their one country). This ‘fragmented military power of the Muslims is considered by Muslims to be the main reason that hundreds of millions of Muslims are bleeding and weeping profusely from Myanmar to NAME (North Africa and Middle East). Taliban in power can easily achieve OMM by using China by offering China guaranteed support & security in the entire Muslim world for its economic programs [like BRI, CPEC (where China is worried after recent Dasu terrorist attack in Pakistan in which 9 Chinese were killed), natural resource exploitation, infrastructure projects etc] in the entire Muslim world. This OMM can be on the pattern of NATO and even the people should not be surprised if Global Taliban can achieve it through unitary political arrangement of Muslim countries on the pattern of United States of Islamic Countries (some thing like the USA). This OMM project is bound to constrain all other local & global militant Jihadis (Al-Qaeda, ISIS, TPP etc) to merge in the Global Taliban.
(2)- This concept of OMM is nothing new. Sunnis are about 85 % of Muslims and Saudi Arabia launched Sunni - NATO under military leadership of Pakistani former Army Chief General Raheel Sharif as mentioned at https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jan/08/former-pakistan-army-chief-raheel-sharif-lead-muslim-nato
But Sunni-NATO did not succeed mainly due to two reasons (i)- Sunni-NATO could not solve the problems of Sunni countries / people like Syria, Yemen, Palestinians etc against Shias led by Iran and Jews hence Sunni-NATO has not commanded the respect as effective & competent ground force (ii)- The Saudis & Pakistanis do not command the credibility and respect of rest of the Muslim world (especially of militant Jihadis) regarding their loyalty towards Islam / Muslim Ummah. Both these problems will not be with the Global Taliban when in popular perception all across the world (especially in Muslim world) its promoter the Afghan Taliban have defeated the USA and its allies including NATO in Afghanistan hence the project of OMM by the Global Taliban will have emotional backing of entire Muslim world.
(3)- Nuclear Pakistan (where its military has already been radicalized since the days of Gen Zia and where Kashmir is the main emotional issue) will be the low hanging fruit and CRUCIAL for this OMM project of the Global Taliban because the Global Taliban have to merely declare that OMM will liberate Muslims of Kashmir (if not the entire J&K including Jammu & Ladakh region) from the Kafir (infidel) Hindus who have been (as per Muslims) persecuting Muslims for the last 74 years in J&K and then one can easily understand what will be the outcome and impact of this liberate Kashmir war cry of the Global Taliban on entire Muslim world especially on militant Jihadis from all over the world.
(4)- .In this project of OMM against India two factors will go in favor of the Global Taliban (i)- Militant Jihadis are already after India due to Ghazwa-e-Hind (ii)- Militant Jihadis will get justification due to like of hate speeches etc of Hindutva forces where even recently they said (in the capital of India near its Parliament where no body can demonstrate without police permission) that - "when Muslims / Mullahs will be butchered they will chant Ram (a Hindu God)" and "You will have to chant Jai Shree Ram if you want to live in India" etc as reported at https://www.freepressjournal.in/viral/watch-video-delhi-rally-sees-anti-muslim-sloganeering-calls-for-violence-citizens-horrified
(5)- Though there will be some problems in the path of OMM but the Global Taliban can easily overcome these as explained below:-
(i)- As per principle of Islam, the Global Taliban can insist on no interest in Muslims world and instead of present national & international currencies (in which Muslim world is dealing) and which are based on fiscal deficits under the pressure of unbridled usurers (the interest earners), the Global Taliban can insist on ‘one currency for entire Muslim world with adequate asset back up of gold. This will be facilitated by contemporary practice of internet banking which is reducing the cash requirement of the countries hence gold requirement for asset backup of currency (High power money M0) is also very less and can easily be managed. This gold backed currency of Muslim world will reduce the power of the USA (Dollar) significantly which will render the USA very much less powerful in stopping the juggernaut of OMM.
(ii)- The Global Taliban need not deal with two countries in haste namely Israel (which is protected by the USA) and Turkey (which is protected by US-led NATO). As far as Israel is concerned, it will be sufficient for the Global Taliban to demand that there should be one State of Israel - Palestine in which all the displaced Palestinians (refugees etc) should be allowed to live as its citizens. As far as Turkey, the Global Taliban can leave it to the Kurds of Iran, Turkey and Syria to formulate a practical policy.
(6)- The Global Taliban will have one great advantage if it adopts Chinese democracy where the ‘Chinese Communist Party will be replaced by a ‘Body of Islamic clergy taken from all over the world, both Sunnis & Shias. This will avoid the problem which ISIS & Iran have faced, namely having one supreme leader who is always arbitrary hence more fallible.
(7)- Some people may say that what is wrong if Communist China joins hands with Islam led by such Global Taliban for achieving OMM either in NATO model or in United States model if it is for the alleged purpose of solving the major problems of the Muslim world. But this is not so for the simple reason that both China and the Global Taliban (commanding or influencing almost half of the worlds population) will be authoritarian regimes which will damage the desirable political model of secular democracy. Modern science & technology (which has brought tremendous prosperity to mankind and even justice & comparative peace) require a free mind which is possible only in secular democracy. Hence this alliance of China and the Global Taliban will be harmful to not only almost half of the population of the world but (due to its fall-out) for the entire world.
(8)- It raises a pertinent question: what can be done to avert such catastrophe ? The answer is simple that the most powerful secular democracy (the West led by USA) and the largest secular democracy India should realize this danger and should do the needful to make "Liberal Western democracy successful especially in this region of South Asia as given below:-
(i)- India became member of the UN in 1945 but the UN sponsor the USA never bothered to provide justice to 20% population of each of West Pakistan & East Pakistan (present day Pakistan and Bangladesh) who are Hindus (including Sikhs) who were forcefully displaced during partition in 1947 though Muslims remained same in India rather increased a little to about 15 % [this forced illegal population transfer has thoroughly communalized the Indian subcontinent which has been the cause of many earlier wars in this region and is still a potential for more such wars). Now also the USA can rectify the situation by getting dual citizenship through the UN to these about 160 million people. Added to this the dereliction of the US led UN about plebiscite in united-J&K (as per UN resolution and IoA of J&K to India) and in Balochistan (whos IoA was taken under military pressure) which is the cause of on-going militancy and lot of unnecessary bloodshed, missing persons etc in Balochistan. Hence the USA / UN should ensure both plebiscites.
(ii) - In Afghanistan stability could have been easily brought during about 20 years of US stay in Afghanistan by enforcing a secular democratic constitution in Afghanistan. On the contrary the results of last elections were not announced for months because they were rigged hence two candidates (Ghani & Abdullah) were allowed by the commanding power of the USA to take oaths for office. At the top of it now the USA is coming out of Afghanistan in a way which has triggered civil war in Afghanistan and has further strengthened militant Jihadi Taliban (which are facilitated in a non-secular theocratic constitution) hence the USA should ask Afghan government to adopt secular democratic constitution. It goes without saying that first Afghan government should adopt secular democracy and then ask for adequate manpower for the UNPKF and for ‘UN Election Commission (for both mainly from India, the leader of SAARC) for carrying out elections under UNEC supervision in Afghanistan after getting the electoral list prepared (including of Afghan refugees who are presently in other countries).
It is hoped that the West led by the USA and India will wake-up and will endeavor to ward-off the threat to liberal Western democracy which will be formidable if China joins hands with the Global Taliban for establishing authoritarian Chinese democracy and its variant in Muslim world which both combined have almost half of the worlds population.
